Samson Behanzin
Meet Samson,
Samson Behanzin brings close to 20 years of experience in building partnerships, mobilizing resources, and shaping development programs across Africa. His work connects strategy with action, linking ideas to the funding and partnerships needed to make them happen.
He has worked with a wide range of organizations, from international NGOs to government partners, supporting proposal design, fundraising, and partnership management. Along the way, he has mobilized funding from major donors such as the World Bank, UN agencies, and European institutions, contributing to programs in education, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, and economic inclusion.
His experience spans multiple countries in West and Central Africa, where he has supported both strategy development and on the ground implementation. This combination allows him to bridge the gap between big picture thinking and local realities.
At iCRA, Samson focuses on strengthening business development within the MDF-iCRA alliance. He works closely with colleagues and partners to identify opportunities, shape strong proposals, manage bids, and build partnerships that are both strategic and grounded in local realities. Having worked in diverse contexts, Samson understands how important it is to listen first, adapt, and co create solutions that fit.
Outside of work, Samson enjoys watching and playing football, and walking in the forest.
