Strengthening Agribusiness and Coaching Skills in Benin
Our project with the IFDC focuses on enhancing the agribusiness and coaching skills of the ACMA3 program’s technical staff in Benin. The primary goal is to prepare the team to facilitate sustainable income growth and job creation through agribusiness development.
Innovative training with a participatory approach
We have designed a comprehensive needs assessment and capacity-building plan. This initiative includes workshops, focus groups, and individual interviews to identify and prioritize the specific training needs in agribusiness and coaching techniques. The program emphasizes a participatory approach, engaging stakeholders actively in the process. Our training sessions incorporate practical tools and methodologies, ensuring that the ACMA3 technical staff can effectively support and mentor local farmers and entrepreneurs.
Supporting agribusinesses through partnerships
This program strengthens the capabilities of the ACMA3 technical team, enabling them to provide high-quality support in agribusiness development, coaching, and partnership facilitation. By improving both technical skills and internal leadership, the project helps the team work with more cohesion and confidence across different roles and responsibilities.
As a result, local farmers and agri-entrepreneurs are better supported to improve productivity, strengthen market access, and create more income and job opportunities. The project also keeps a strong focus on gender equality and the inclusion of marginalized groups, so that benefits can reach a wider range of community members.
By strengthening local capacities, team leadership, and long-term partnerships, iCRA contributes to more sustainable agricultural development and economic growth in Benin.
