Meet Claver

Claver is a socioanthropologist, teacher, researcher and consultant in community development. With years of experience supporting communities on issues like food security and nutrition, he brings a deep understanding of how trust and collaboration drive lasting change.

His journey with iCRA began in 2020, when he became one of the coordinators of our resilience study in Burundi. It wasn’t an easy time as Burundi was facing a major fuel crisis, and Claver often had to wake up at 3 AM and travel to Tanzania just to keep the project moving. “It was very crazy,” he says with a smile. But his determination never wavered. Since then, Claver has proudly represented iCRA in Burundi, building strong local partnerships and helping us stay connected to the communities we serve.

Claver is passionate about helping others, especially youth in need, something he also lives out through his background as a scout. He’s deeply committed to expanding iCRA’s presence and impact in Burundi and hopes to take on more responsibility within the team in the future.

When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
